Baron Baptiste is the son of yoga pioneers Walter and Magana Baptiste, who opened the first San Francisco yoga studio in 1955. He began practicing yoga as a young child and has studied with multiple Indian yoga masters. He developed Baptiste Yoga and runs teacher trainings in his specific style of yoga.
The aim of Baptiste Yoga is to create freedom, peace of mind, and the ability to live more authentically. Expect a physically challenging flowing practice that will get your heart rate up. Each class features a vigorous 90-minute vinyasa sequence in a heated room. It is geared to more athletic practitioners but everyone is welcome. Baptiste style encourages students to work and honor their own level of fitness.

I took my first yoga class 5 years ago and instantly fell in love with the practice. The positive effects it has had on my life inspired me to share it with as many people as possible. I underwent the 200-hour training to become an instructor in 2016. The training expanded my knowledge of yoga and provided a space for me to perform in depth self-study. The transformation I underwent has given me a new outlook on life and yoga. Yoga has become a way of living for me. I incorporate postures in my classes that will str

Hello! My name is Rebecca Wizov. I hail from southern New Jersey, but I just graduated from Temple University with a music education degree and am proud to call Philly my official home! In addition to my music, I grew up as a dancer/cheerleader. Yoga was always something I dabbled in, but never took it seriously. I had tried multiple times throughout college to get into it, but it wasn't until summer before senior year- May 2016, that I was introduced to the practice that changed my life. Grace & Glory, a studio in Northfield NJ (right near my hometown) - was where my friend's mom was practicing yoga. My friend asked me to go with her to a practice, and after that first class I was hooked. I could not get enough of it. But then the best thing ever happened. Not only was there a studio in my hometown, they ALSO had a studio 10 minutes from my college apartment. That studio became my home- I began to do the work exchange program there, and in March 2017 I began my 200 hour teacher training program. I graduated in June 2017, and am currently teaching Power Yoga at Temple University's Campus Rec Center. I am excited to expand my teaching and hopefully begin at more studios throughout the Philadelphia area!
Summer discovered yoga through an insomnia induced 3am google search, signed up for a 6am class and never looked back. She came to yoga at a time in her life where she was seeking community and connection and found it in yoga. Summer completed the 200 hour Expand Your Power teacher training through the Baptiste Institute in the spring of 2017. She loves experimenting in the kitchen and is a slightly crazy vegetarian. Can often be found exploring nature or snuggling on her couch with her kitty. Will admit to anyone willing to listen that yoga changed her life.
My passion is helping those new to yoga connect to their bodies and realize their true strength!
