Emma first discovered yoga in 2011 and has wanted more ever since. The clarity she felt after that first practice kept her coming back. Yoga provides her a deep sense of strength and release that has been her foundation through life's ever changing journey. Emma completed Teacher Training at Health Thru Yoga which has broadened her knowledge, deepened her practice, and heightened her spiritual awareness, bringing her closer to the light within.

Jen is a 200-hour Certified Yoga Teacher through Boston's Back Bay Yoga (now YogaWorks Boston), and has studied a variety of yoga modalities including vinyasa, prenatal, and restorative yoga, as well as mindfulness meditation. She's had experience teaching yoga to practitioners of all ages, from elementary school students to seniors, and everything in between. No matter what style of yoga you're looking for, whether a vigorous vinyasa or a gentle slow flow, Jen will help you feel at ease with her lighthearted and playful style.

My yoga journey started many moons ago when my Mom suggested my sister and I take a class.  ​I don't remember much about the class itself, but I do recall speaking enthusiastically about it afterward.  I also remember the smell of the satsuma oil that was burned throughout the class, and the various intrigues of my teacher that day, who wore endless strings of beads around her neck and had glittery, bright eyes and really wild curly hair.  Most strikingly, I felt calm.

I have been practicing Yoga for 5 years and now wish to share the knowledge of self and Yoga I have collected with others.  My classes are casual and a great place to start a practice or to grow your practice reaching for more advanced poses.  I am an RYT 200, trained in CPR and First Aid in the event of any emergency.  I have studied Yoga for Trauma, Chair and Chakra Yoga as I reach into the deeply personal healing work I feel called for.  I am also a Local Church Lay Servant in the United Methodist Church.

As a Reikimaster, Kat is an alleviator of the body. Motivated to teach and help others getting their minds out to connect with body and breath, to be more present. Practicing yoga since her freshmen quarter Fall 1997 at CalPoly, her practice deepened as the years passed. Teaching yoga informally while teaching surf lessons for Sandbar Surf Company with her surfing dog Saint since 2013, she will guide you into asana, breathwork, and meditation. Restorative, yin, gentle, flow and alignment oriented yoga are emphasized. Tapping into the nectar of yoga, she provides a cushion from which to sit on and come into balance with. As a certified Ayurveda Wellness Counselor, she can incorporate diet and asana recommendations to achieve balance within. Being in the field of healthcare for over a dozen years as a certified phlebotomist technician, lab assistant, nurse assistant, and nursing student, she is motivated for self-care. Her many years of mechanical engineering, nursing, biochemistry, biological sciences help her see the anatomical, physiological aspects and importance for alignment. Studying the Patanjali's Sutras, yogic philosophy, and original texts, she has aligned herself with ancient wise theories. Applying them to form and function is an everyday practice.

Kate is passionate about educating and empowering women to connect: with their bodies, their inner selves, and each other. Her thoughtfully sequenced classes cultivate space to turn inwards and dig just a little deeper in order to create transformation. She brings a sense of depth and calm to fertility and restorative yoga, but also likes to challenge her students in vigorous vinyasa classes.

Kathleen's first yoga instructor was her mother, who began teaching yoga when Kathleen was a teenager. Kathleen found yoga extremely helpful for her back pain related to scoliosis. She introduced it to many friends during college to reduce stress and dove deeper into her practice during a semester abroad in India. She enjoys sharing her love of yoga with others by helping them gain greater body awareness and most importantly, relax.

Keri Honea has, in all honesty, not been practicing yoga for decades. She was talked into trying out yoga with a friend in 2014. Keri begrudgingly went, strongly believing that yoga was just a bunch of hippie dippie baloney. By her first class, she was HOOKED. A few months in, she wanted to be a teacher. Yoga completely changed her life. As such, she couldn’t keep it all to herself. She had to share yoga with others and hopefully change their lives the way only yoga can.

Keri Knutson – yoga teacher, Official Yoga Instructor of the Rockford IceHogs, Rockford native, and 20 year practitioner of yoga, Keri is trained in and currently teaches Vinyasa Flow, Hatha Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and chair/therapeutic yoga in Rockford/Rockford area. Her journey has included studying the history, lineage, philosophy, and systems of traditional Hatha and Raja Yoga, Anusara, Bhakti, Iyengar, and Integral Yoga – focusing on Vinyasa Flow to deepen her own practice.

Kerry Burki has been teaching yoga since 2004 in both Chicago and Phoenix. She has been practicing yoga since her first Iyengar class in 1997 in Flagstaff, Arizona. She is now the Editor-In-Chief of Kerry Magazine. This is a brand new magazine that encourages women to feel beautiful as they are right now while also encouraging connection and supporting small business.
