Power yoga is a basic term used in the West to describe a fitness-based vigorous approach to vinyasa-style yoga. This type of yoga is a rigorous full-body workout that promotes mental stability and concentration. Most power yoga is closely modeled on the Ashtanga style of practice. The term "power yoga" came into common usage in the mid 1990s, when several yoga teachers were looking for a way to make Ashtanga yoga more accessible to western students. Unlike Ashtanga, power yoga does not follow a set series of poses. Power yoga classes can vary widely from teacher to teacher. However, power yoga will most likely appeal to people who are already quite fit, enjoy exercising, and want a minimal amount of chanting and meditation with their yoga.

Yoga NH Teacher Training/Develop Your Practice Programs began in early 2006, led by Maureen Miller (E-RYT500, Certified Life/Health/Business Coach, Reiki Master Trainer and MA in Women, Spirituality & Well-Being). Every January-December, Maureen and several outstanding guest teachers will lead the 500-hour Teacher Training Program in Concord, NH.

Tully is an inspired spiritual healer and yoga teacher. She came to yoga as a result of a back injury. Yoga not only healed her back, but has increased her physical strength and flexibility. Tully's passion is to introduce and coach others in this healing practice. She has gained enhanced mental clarity, relaxation - of mind and spirit - total presence and harmony. Her goal is to share yoga's healing practices with her students.

I believe life is better with breath and movement. I can teach you the skills you need to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle long-term. Whether that be through increasing your performance, helping you with weight loss, maximising your flexibility, or simply over all better fitness and health, I can help. Based on the fusion of eastern traditional hatha yoga and western fitness science, it blends balance, strength, flexibility and power in a fitness format. YogaFit® overcomes the mystery of yoga by delivering a practical, user-friendly style, which is accessible, understandable, and doable by individuals at any level of fitness.

For 35 years Deborah and David have lived life exploring remote regions of the world, leading international yoga adventures, retreats, teacher trainings; studying with yogis, healers and medicine people; teaching, mentoring in yoga, wilderness and sustainable living.

Flow deeper into your practice by taking this Nationally Recognized 200 and 300-Hour Yoga Alliance Certification in Vinyasa Flow Yoga.

Based in the tradition of Ashtanga yoga, this 4-12 - week small group and mentorship program will steep you in yoga as a way of life. We work with each individual student and their needs and wants as a teacher and to develop a deeper understanding of their own practice to work out, work in and build awareness while building income.
