I was training for a marathon and like so many I turned to yoga to both compliment my training, but also to heal a frustrating running injury. I always thought yoga was too “zen” for my go-go-go fitness lifestyle, but I was in the midst of grad school and I had just moved to Boston from California and found myself in a whirlwind of many life transitions. I needed balance and clarity, more than anything. Yoga helped me heal not only my physical body but heart as well.

In the summer of 2017, I decided to take the plunge and finally get my 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training. Working with Helen Cloots of the Floating Yoga School, I've completed that aspect of my training and am prepared to teach Vinyasa, Modified Ashtanga, and gentle Hatha yoga. I live in Glenmoore, PA with my husband, cat, and dog. We're renting a 225 year old farm house that had gone wild for a few years before the landlords renovated it. Behind the house are tangled acres of berry bushes, fox dens, and deer trails.
Hannah was trained in Hatha Vinyasa yoga at ShivaShakti School of Yoga and Healing Arts in Camden, Maine. She has a steady and calm patience in her teaching which allows her to provide a focused and motivated, yet soothing environment for students of all levels. Her personal experience with yoga first as a purely athletic practice and later as a more spiritual practice allows her to identify with students wherever they are in their practice.

I am a passionate practitioner of yoga with over 6 years of experience in several different styles. My continued goal is to take this practice, in addition to the invaluable training I continue to receive, and use that to instruct and guide other students and teachers as wonderfully and insightfully as I have been, and continue to be guided.
I am a yoga and meditation teacher from Piermont NY. Moved by the transformation my practice caused in my own life I began teaching yoga and meditation in 2013. I have been studying yoga, meditation, and Buddhism since 2000. My classes give a practical down to earth explanation of the dharma without dogma. I focus on the experience of the self through meditation, intellectual exploration, and how discovering the true nature of the self reveals the true nature of reality.
