I am a passionate practitioner of yoga with over 6 years of experience in several different styles. My continued goal is to take this practice, in addition to the invaluable training I continue to receive, and use that to instruct and guide other students and teachers as wonderfully and insightfully as I have been, and continue to be guided.
I am a yoga and meditation teacher from Piermont NY. Moved by the transformation my practice caused in my own life I began teaching yoga and meditation in 2013. I have been studying yoga, meditation, and Buddhism since 2000. My classes give a practical down to earth explanation of the dharma without dogma. I focus on the experience of the self through meditation, intellectual exploration, and how discovering the true nature of the self reveals the true nature of reality.

After studying dance for many years, Jenn began searching for a way to move her body in a kinder more forgiving holistic way. In 2007, she found yoga and began teaching herself meditation and the asanas. Branching out, she attended her first Jivamukti class, taught by Sharon Gannon and assisted by Giselle Mari. With the influence and support of her beloved teacher Giselle, Jenn attended the New York Jivamukti teacher training in 2015. Since completing her training, she has been mentoring and working closely with Giselle on hands on assists, preparing to give back to the yoga community that has given so much to her. Her greatest wish is to teach in a non-judgemental , compassionate and encouraging manner, bringing self-acceptance and a sense of being supported into every class she teaches.
Jennie has travelled the world, after returning in 2009 began attending yoga classes at Breeze yoga studio in Kent and found that she really enjoyed it, and also found other benefits started happening to her, it helped with her stress and anxiety, and helped build her self-esteem and confidence as well as helping with an ongoing neck problem she had, and she lost weight.
My yoga journey started many moons ago when my Mom suggested my sister and I take a class. I don't remember much about the class itself, but I do recall speaking enthusiastically about it afterward. I also remember the smell of the satsuma oil that was burned throughout the class, and the various intrigues of my teacher that day, who wore endless strings of beads around her neck and had glittery, bright eyes and really wild curly hair. Most strikingly, I felt calm.

E-RYT 200, CYT. I believe that yoga, just like life, is a journey. There are twists and turns, ups and downs but every experience teaches you something new. In my teaching I work to empower students to find their inner strength and listen to what their body is telling them. The true power of yoga comes in allowing yourself to surrender, open and explore...even when it is difficult and dark. Moving bravely and steadily through the dark will always bring you into the most vibrant and beautiful light!
In 2009--seven years after my cancer diagnosis and moments after yet another potentially embarrassing wardrobe malfunction duringa yoga class--I ditched my breast form at the studio, acknowledging that I had found my second home. I've used yoga to nurture myself as both a survivor and caregiver, discovering that a conscious practice is indeed for every body.
I have been practicing Yoga for 5 years and now wish to share the knowledge of self and Yoga I have collected with others. My classes are casual and a great place to start a practice or to grow your practice reaching for more advanced poses. I am an RYT 200, trained in CPR and First Aid in the event of any emergency. I have studied Yoga for Trauma, Chair and Chakra Yoga as I reach into the deeply personal healing work I feel called for. I am also a Local Church Lay Servant in the United Methodist Church.
