Monica is a Bhakti (devotional) Yogini, and teaches Prana Vinyasa Flow, cultivated by Shiva Rea and the Global Vinyasa Collective. She is an assistant and teacher trainer facilitating the Prana Flow 200 Teacher Training Program in Shiva Rea's Samudra Global School of Living Yoga in Crested Butte, U.S., and internationally. She is the founder and creative director of Yoga for the Peaceful Studio and Yoga Rocks the Butte Winter Fest in Crested Butte, Colorado.

I teach tai chi and meditation and do mindfulness coaching using methods from Japanese psychology. I am the primary dharma teacher for Volusia Buddhist Fellowship and have received dharma transmission in Rinzai Zen. I also hold a certificate in Japanese psychology, using methods from Morita, Naikan and Kaizen for personal growth and to deepen Buddhist practice. I have taught traditional Yang style tai chi for several years, and also teach Moving For Better Balance, a tai chi program targeted at reducing risk of falls in older adults.

As a yoga therapist I teach a gentle form of hatha yoga.  I specialize in using yoga techniques (movement, breathing, relaxation and meditation) with people who have health issues.  In addtion to working one-on-one and in small groups I teach an 8 Week Course called "Yoga Therapy for the Mind" for Stress, Anxiety and Depression.

Nancy Turner began life in ballet shoes and eventually danced with the Fort Worth Ballet in the early 70's.  At 16 she quit because of the physical issues that began arising, but the gracefulness she retained throughout her life.  After working 35-years in the corporate world she retired a year after losing her only child in a tragic situation.  With heart broken and her self-confidence shattered, she found yoga as the practice needed to help her in her grief journey.  A year later she began her teacher training and founded Compassion Yoga in April 2016.

Styles:

Olivia is a 200hrRYT, specializing in beginner and intermediate Vinyasa yoga, as well as Yin and Restorative yoga. She particularly enjoys teaching those who are just starting out in yoga, and individuals suffering from illness or injury. She has worked with a number of students coming back from recent health issues, to help them find true, whole health again, and to build spiritual, physical, and mental joy and confidence. She works on an individual basis, and with small groups in the Chicagoland area. 

Olivia began practicing yoga in 2008 and immediately fell in love. In 2010, Olivia started teaching yoga at Endicott College. She has completed multiple trainings with nationally and internationally renowned teachers: Yoga as Medicine with Timothy McCall & Lauren Toolin, Empower Flow Yoga with Seane Corn, Journey to Advanced Asanas with Liz Owen, and Celebrating Yoga Teachers & Professionalism in Yoga with Amy Ippoliti. She has completed a 480-hour internship teaching vinyasa, power, kids, prenatal, and restorative yoga.

After a career in children's advertising law, a stint as the editorial director of a photography magazine and modeling for Wilhelmina NY, Persiana turned to yoga when faced with a personal health crisis. Her journey to wellness inspired her to guide and empower you toward your best, most electric life ever, one breath at a time.

After I discovered my own love for yoga through a series of self taught practices, I began working towards becoming a registered yoga teacher. I am certified in hatha/ vinyasa yoga and chair yoga. I teach a multiple classes with varying degrees of intensity. From the absolute beginner to the intermediate student looking is sharpen their practice, I will help you through your journey.
